wo Brothers Organic Farms is a family-run, certified organic farm based in Maharashtra, India, renowned for its handcrafted, traditional food products. Their flagship offering, A2 Desi Ghee made from Gir cow milk using the ancient Bilona method, has earned a loyal following for its purity and health benefits. By mid-2024, the brand had a strong presence on Amazon.in but sought to increase visibility and sales of their Desi Ghee range—available in 150ml, 250ml, 500ml, and 1000ml variants—to compete in the crowded organic food market.

The Challenge

  • Despite their premium quality, Two Brothers Organic Farms faced several obstacles:
  • Low Discoverability: Their Desi Ghee products were buried among competitors on Amazon, with limited visibility beyond organic food enthusiasts.
  • High Competition: The ghee category on Amazon featured aggressive advertising from both established brands and budget alternatives, making it hard to stand out.
  • Seasonal Sales Slump: Sales dipped outside festive seasons, with a goal to achieve a 40% revenue increase in six months.
  • Brand Awareness: While their loyal customers loved the product, new shoppers were unaware of the brand’s unique value proposition—organic, grass-fed, and traditionally made ghee.

Our Approach

We designed a targeted Amazon Sponsored Ads campaign to elevate Two Brothers Organic Farms’ Desi Ghee products, focusing on visibility, conversions, and brand storytelling.
 
Campaign Setup
Sponsored Products: We launched Sponsored Product ads for all Desi Ghee variants, targeting high-intent keywords like “A2 ghee,” “organic ghee,” “Bilona ghee,” and “grass-fed cow ghee.” Automatic targeting supplemented manual keyword bids to capture broader search trends.
Sponsored Brands: Custom ads showcased the Two Brothers story—fourth-generation farmers, ethical rearing, and traditional methods—with compelling visuals of their ghee in glass jars, linking to a branded Amazon Store.
Sponsored Display: Retargeting ads followed website visitors and cart abandoners across Amazon, featuring dynamic product ads with customer reviews highlighting taste and quality.
 
Keyword Strategy
We conducted competitor analysis to bid on terms like “pure desi ghee” and “best A2 ghee online,” while using negative keywords (e.g., “cheap ghee”) to avoid low-value clicks.
Long-tail keywords such as “Two Brothers Organic Ghee 500ml” and “healthy Bilona ghee for cooking” drove niche traffic with lower competition.
 
Creative Execution
Ad visuals emphasized the golden hue of the ghee, free-grazing Gir cows, and the artisanal process, paired with copy like “Pure A2 Ghee, Handcrafted with Love” and “From Our Farm to Your Table.”
We optimized product listings with enhanced A+ Content, featuring nutritional benefits, customer testimonials, and lifestyle imagery (e.g., ghee drizzled on rotis).
 
Budget and Optimization
Starting with a INR 30,000 monthly ad budget, we allocated 60% to Sponsored Products, 30% to Sponsored Brands, and 10% to Sponsored Display.
Weekly optimizations adjusted bids based on Advertising Cost of Sale (ACoS), pausing underperforming keywords and scaling high-converters.

Execution

The campaign launched in July 2024 on Amazon.in, coinciding with pre-festive shopping trends. We ran ads continuously, with a mid-campaign boost in September to capitalize on Diwali demand. Performance was tracked via Amazon’s Advertising Console, focusing on impressions, click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, and total sales.

Results

The six-month campaign, ending in December 2024, delivered impressive growth:
 
Sales Growth: Desi Ghee sales rose by 52%, exceeding the 40% target, with the 500ml variant leading at a 70% increase.
 
Ad Performance: Achieved a CTR of 2.8% (above the category average of 2%) and an ACoS of 18%, ensuring profitability.
 
Impressions: Generated 3.5 million impressions, significantly boosting discoverability among new customers.
 
Conversion Rate: Increased from 8% to 14%, driven by optimized listings and retargeting efforts.
 
Brand Impact: Organic searches for “Two Brothers Ghee” spiked by 35%, reflecting heightened brand awareness.
